About Us
I’m Liv, your tour guide and founder of Melbourne Vegan and Vintage tours. As the former owner of a vegan bar in Fitzroy, I am incredibly passionate about both vegan food and ethical fashion.
When I was running my own business, I came to know the local business community in Melbourne’s inner North, and all the incredible people running small business that support sustainability.
I started these tours as a way to share these business, and my own passion, with visitors to our beautiful city. I want everyone to have the opportunity to see the Melbourne I love, and support ethical small business along the way.
As your tour guide I get the opportunity to share with you all the best vegan spots in Melbourne, and the non-vegan spots that have great options for us too. I will take you though some of my favourite vintage spots to look for buried treasure that you can take home with you when you leave.
The Melbourne Scene
Melbourne is incredibly well-known for its iconic food and coffee scene. In 2025, Timeout ranked Melbourne as the number one foodie destination in the world. With over 5000 cafes and restaurants, Melbourne also has the most venues per capita of any city (yes, that is a real fact). But what does it have to offer vegans, vegos and those trying to eat more sustainably?
The answer is, absolutely stacks. Every suburb has café, restaurant and takeaway offerings for vegan that mean you will never run out of something delicious to eat. But Melbourne’s inner North, and particularly the suburbs of Fitzroy and Collingwood, are without a doubt the best place to start, with more delicious vegan options than you could eat your way through in a month.
And the sustainable mindset that drives the passion for great vegan options doesn’t stop at food. Melbourne’s second-hand fashion scene rivals any city in the world, with options for every budget, from high-end vintage to the local op shop. Once you see what’s on offer, you’ll understand why Melbournians are known for their style.
